Performance Training

Volleyball is a sport of explosive power, speed, stamina, quick directional changes and fast reaction time. Players must apply physical training to keep one injury safe in order to improve court performance.  Dallas Starlings Performance Training will develop players strength and conditioning to be a more productive player on the court and throughout the season.

Athletes will train two times per week, sixty minutes per session for four weeks. Due to Covid 19 this will be modified: The gym is fully equipped with barbells, bumper plates, weightlifting rigs, plyometric box, sleds, pull-up bars, Airdyne bikes, glute/hamstring developers (GHD) and much, much more! The primary focus of the program is to increase overall strength, improve explosive movements, train quick directional change through improving acceleration and deceleration, and decrease reaction time.

A linear weightlifting model will be used to achieve results as well as other accessory exercises. All movements can be modified to meet the athlete’s developmental level and allow the athlete to progress safely. Not only will Dallas Starlings Performance Training Program improve an athlete’s athletic abilities, it will also significantly reduce the risk of serious injury.  This program is designed for athletes 11 years and older.
